Compensation Range
Hourly: $20.00 - $20.00 (Amount based on relevant experience, skills, and competencies.)
About This Job
The Commerce Bank Commercial Banking & Credit Internship is a role in which individuals are introduced to the variety of career path opportunities within the bank through project assignments, job shadowing and building a professional network. They will build relationships with internal partners and Senior Leadership to develop knowledge on how the bank prospects and manages commercial relationships, assesses and mitigates risk related to lending, facilitates cash management and treasury services for customers. The internship culminates in a Capstone Project related to Relationship Banking to be presented at the end of the internship.
The summer internship session will begin on Tuesday, May 19, 2026 , and will run for 11 weeks , ending on Friday, July 31, 2026 . Internships are paid, full-time opportunities with a Monday through Friday work schedule.

Essential Functions
• Build an understanding of Business Development and Relationship Management
• Build a personal brand for self-marketing and networking growth
• Prepare elements of Credit Approval requests using data from multiple systems and Relationship Managers
• Prepare company spreads using varying quality financial statements and tax returns
• Perform other duties as assigned
Work Schedule
• Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
• Mostly onsite

• Perform duties with a heightened level of attention to detail to produce quality results
• Motivated and organized self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Inquisitive, agile and strong team player with excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to remain adaptable and resilient to all situations with an optimistic outlook and cast a positive shadow that is aligned with our culture and Core Values
• Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
